Be Better not Bitter
These are some very tough times, people are losing their lives, people are losing jobs, most businesses are hurting, and our medical workers are being taxed in every way. This is going to go down in history as a major issue in American and world history. How are we going to be remembered in history in regard to how we dealt with this? Are people 50 years from now going to look at how this pandemic divided us more as a country? Are they going to look at how we became a bitter country with people who were against each other?
This is what I propose, we become better because of this. When people look back at us and how we as a country handled this adversity, they should be proud to be an American. They should see how we set forth a better way to handle situations like this. If future generations have to deal with this kind of thing, they can look at how we handled it and use what we did to help them get through it or even avoid it all together. I want our country to grow from this, to get better from this. I want it to make us stronger so that we can be a more unified country. We need to be an inspiration for future generations.
Let’s show future generations how it is done. Try to have empathy for each other, see it from another point of view, and respect each other. We can make something good out of this, I know it is hard to see now as we go through it, but we can get better.
Great mantra!
