Push Through or Pull Through – Just get Through

When looking at we are all going through with this pandemic, we all have had adversity that we have had to overcome. There are some old sayings; one is you can Pull Through It, the other is You can Push through it. I just want to tell you to do both, and when you have somebody else helping you, it is easier to do both. The analogy that I want to use here is when two people are trying to cut down a tree, they will plant a new one in its place, and they are using a two-man cross saw, one has to push and the other one pulls. Together they can cut that tree down a lot easier, when they are working together, helping each other.

It is frustrating to me to see all the “stuff” out there right now like blaming, accusing, taking sides, and non-unity. That is not getting us any closer to solutions for all of this. Working together is what is needed. I know we have a country split right down the middle and I don’t want this to make it worse. Adversity, and this is adversity at its best, should bring people together. We need to support each other, look at things from each other’s point of view, and respect each other. I am not saying you have to agree on everything, but this is not a time to separate ourselves. All of our people need support through this, and everybody needs that support a little differently. The question I ask is are you being productive or destructive during this pandemic. Are you helping the cause or are you hurting the cause of getting through this?
The same can be said of the business you own or that you work for. Are you being productive or destructive in helping that business survive this? Are you working as a team? Are you respectful of all your co-workers’ views? Don’t miss out on your opportunity to make your business better and make you better through this adversity.
